Fever spreads in Kerala, Health Minister's resignation demanded
Kannur : Kerala Congress (B) Chairman R Balakrishna Pillai today alleged that the state Government had failed to take preventive steps to check the outbreak of fever. Talking to newsperson here he said a number of people died due to various types of fevers while thousands of people were suffering from Malaria, Dengue, Encephalities, and H1N1.
Alleging that paramedical staff were deputed for other purposes, including the National census programme and enumeration of voters, he said the Health Minister was blaming the media for reporting the exact figure of the affected people.
Demanding that the state government must handover the Health Department to competent people immediately, he said the Health Minister was unable to control the department.
