Two more succumb to fever
Thiruvanathapuram: Two more persons died due to fever on Saturday. A pregnant woman from Kazhakootam, Briji, 27 who was seven months pregnant, died at the Medical College here. Toddler named Farsana (1and half years ) from Chanthiroor, Cherthala died at Kottayam Medical College. H1N1 was confirmed on 36. As per government records only 6581 sought treatment in the state. Dengue has been confirmed on 17 . Malaria has begun to spread in Poovar, Thiruvananthapuram as 20 persons were admitted to various hospitals. Health ministry gave warning that persons having symptoms of fever, body pain, cough and cold , should be treated in the hospital and refrain from self treatment. Clean the house and premises and strengthen mosquito eradication programmes. In Kollam, 336, Pathanamthitta, 465, Alapuzha, 885, Kottyam 447, Idukki 430, Ernakulam 112, Thrissur 1069, Palakkad 425 , Malappuram 331, Kozhikode 339, Kannur 328, Wayanad 178 and in Kasargod 192 people reported for treatment.
