Film of 1896 remade by Keralite cinema historian
Thiruvananthapuram: 'Soldiers Courtship', a one minute movie made in the silent era of 1896, has been remade by a film historian here. The film, a short comedy directed by Alfred Moul and with Robert Paul as main caste, has been given re-birth with writer K Sudarshan appearing in the role of Paul. A CD of the film produced and directed by Kavadiyar Das has been
presented to Kerala Government at a function here. The film was produced at a cost of Rs.50,000, Das told PTI today. 'The plan is to exhibit it in film festivals, he said.
