Gold up Rs 160 a sovereign
Kozhikode: Gold prices shot up to a record high on Monday with the price of the yellow metal crossing Rs 14,120 for a sovereign (8 grams) , a rise of Rs 160 per sovereign and Rs 20 a gram. A gram of gold costs Rs 1765. In international market too the prices have surged. The investors are now investing more on gold due to debt crisis in European countries. In International market, a price for an ounce of gold surged by 1,256.20 dollars.
