Petro hike will lead to generalised inflation: Issac
Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Finance Minister T M Thomas Issac today told the State Assembly that the hike in petroleum prices will only lead to generalised inflation and affect the price of all commodities. In reply to a calling attention, he said the recent hike of petro prices would also be a big blow to the oil companies in the public sector. ''After the United Progressive Alliance Government came to power, it was the third time that the petro prices were hiked. There is no justification,'' he said. Issac said the protest across the country against the price hike would shatter the UPA Government.
