M Kunjikannan Master passes away
Kalpetta:Veteran journalist, Gandhian, educational and social activist M Kunjikannan Master, 84, died at a private hospital in Kozhikode on Wednesday noon.
He was the Kalpetta correspondent of Mathrubhumi from 1970. He also worked as reporter to the Congress mouthpiece Janvani, Thozhilali, a newspaper published from Thrissur. He also acted as founder president of Kalpetta Girijan Co-Operative Society, and was also a member of Kerala Tribal Board, State Orphanage Control Board and member of KPCC twice . His wife is Kundancheri Narayani. Children Girija, Ashok Kumar (GLP school; Kalpetta ), Sobha, Sajeevan (Mathrubhumi , Kozhikode). Sons-in-law, E Narayanan (ISRO), P Raveendran (Cochin Shipyard) and daughters-in-law, K Shyamala (Munderi High School) and K K Deepa (Pharmacist)
