CM sends complaint to centre indicting the political links of Thachankary
Thriuvananthapuram: Chief minister V S Achuthanandan has send a complaint given by PC George MLA against suspended IG Tomin Thachankary, to union home ministry . Among with some other documents , CM has send the complaint which states that Tomin went for foreign trip to open an account related to a prominent leader. On the other day P C George alleged in the assembly that Thachankary had opened an account with Emirates bank Dubai in the name Tomin Joseph Thachankary and had deposited five lakh dirham. A complaint detailing all these was send by the George earlier to CM. It is leant gat documents send by chief secretery on behalf of CM also include the complaints. Meanwhile the government had began step to strengthen the Vigilance probe against Thachankary related to case in November 2006 when Thachankary was the ASP in Alappuzha. The complaint was given by Bobi Kuruvilla alleging that Tomin had tortured him and later HVC orders for virile probe. But Vigilance probe had reached no where. According to vigilance ' his case is pending. Vigilance till now prepared a report that states Tomin has accumulated assets worth 99.37 lakh illegally. Report also states that he smuggled good from Singapore. Though also these maters were informed in HC by Vigilance IG C Vijayananth but CM's office feel that there is no sufficient progress on the case. Government is planning to send the report too when the probe completes.
