75-year-old strangled to death for robbery

Iritty: A 75-year-old lady, residing alone in her house, was strangled to death and was robbed of gold and cash. The deceased was Aleema, 75, residing in her ancestral house for the past 20 years. The body was found by her daughter-in-law residing next to her house, face down with hands tied to her back and mouth gagged. The front door was closed and back door was ajar. Around 10 sovereign of gold jewellery which Aleema was wearing were found missing.
Police feel that she might have been killed for robbery. Two days back Aleema told her daughter in-law that she had heard a noise from the backside during the night. Her second son told police that after that incident he had asked her to sleep in his house during night.

The dog squad and fingerprint experts collected evidences. Perool Abdulkhader is her husband. Children, Abdul Rahman, Rasak, Pathumma, Kadeeja, Subaida and Sainaba and her daughters-in-law are Mariyam and Zubaida and sons-in-law Muhammad EK Khader and Shihab.
