Shimoga: The head of Humbuja Jain Mutt Swasthi Sree Devendrakeerthi Bhattaraka Pattacharyavarya Swami, 63, passed away on Wednesday early morning at Humbuja Mutt.
He was an eminent speaker and had headed many Jainapancha kalyanas in India and aboard.
He also attended the all religious meet in America, Canada and England. He is also the head of the prathishtas in Puliyarmal Ananthanath Swami temple in Wayanad, Chandranatah Swami temple Puthanathani and Anchukunnu Parswanatha Swami temple.
He was born on May 25, 1949 as the son of Dharmapalaya and Maghamalama in Daskhin Kannada. In 1971 he accepted Deeksha and received the name Hemakeerthi Sagara. After the pattbhishekam in 1972, he became the Devendrakeerthi Bhattaraka Pattacharyavarya.
