Washington: The US today welcomed the Foreign Minister-level talks between India and Pakistan, saying this kind of dialogue will enable the two neighbours sort out issues of differences between them. The spokesman said the US welcomes the increase in the level of dialogue between the two countries

External Affairs Minister S M Krishna today held talks with his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mahmood Qureshi in Islamabad today.

The US has maintained that it is for India and Pakistan to decide on the pace and scope of the peace talks, but has said it encourages both the countries to resolve all their differences through dialogue.
