Thrissur: Modern scanners will be installed in Guruvayoor Sree Krishna Temple to examine the devotees visiting the temple.
According to Devaswom Board sources here today, this was decided by the joint meeting of the core committee of the Devaswom authorities and police officials held yesterday.
The scanners were to avoid the examination of the devotees by the security guards.
Experts from Keltron would visit Guruvayoor in next week to study the possibility of installing the instrument.
The meeting also decided to provide photo identity card for the police constables to be engaged in temple duties, the sources added.
