Muvattupuzha: The main accused in the attack of Prof T J Joseph, Younis, was held here on Wednesday. The special investigation team, led by SP Unniraja, is questioning Younis, a divisional member of Popular Front and a trainer.
Though the police had not divulged any details from where he was held, it is learnt that the police took him from Palakkad while he was coming from Nagoor, Tamil Nadu to Palakkad. His arrest will be recorded at 5 pm after questioning him. The Police is of the opinion that Younis, together with the other two accused, planned and arranged the money and vehicle needed for the attack.
There are unconfirmed reports about another accused, who was also with Younis, fleeing the scene when the police attempted to nab him. The attackers had used Youni's car to escape. The police booked the vehicle immediately after the incident.
