Fever death: Rs 25,000 relief for family
Thiruvananthapuram: The government will extend relief of Rs 25,000 to the families of each person who died due to fever. The help will be provided from the chief minister's relief fund. Health minister P K Sreemathi informed the assembly that the district collectors have been given instructions to make a list of those who died due to fever. Home minster Kodiyeri Balakrishnan informed the assembly on Wednesday that Rs 23.89 crore was collected as fine from motorists who travelled without wearing helmets. He also said 75 persons died due to drunken driving so far this year.
