Kochi: Wooing customers with gifts, Godrej Appliances, a leading manufacturer in the appliance industry, is targetting rs
80 crore sales turnover during the 'Onam' festival in Kerala next month. Last 'Onam', the turnover was Rs 52 crore.
On every purchase of a washing Machine, refrigerator, Air Conditioner, microwave oven or television, customers can win gold coins upto 50 grams or a non stick 'Appa Chatti', a utensil to make appams. This offer is valid till Sept 3, Kamal Nandi, Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Godrej Appliances told reporters here.
Godrej is expecting a growth of over 50 per cent over last year in the market.
The recent launch of its colour Televisions in Kerala,which is doing very well,would further help the brand achieve higher volumes. There have been a series of new launches in Frost Free segment, Split AC segment, Microwaves and Washing machine segment which would add up to the excitement this Onam.
In the first quarter of this fiscal, there has been 37 per cent growth all India, while in Kerala it was 47 per cent. PTI
