CPM taking soft Hindutva policy with eye on local poll: PFI

Kozhikode : Radical Muslim outfit, Popular Front of India (PFI), in Kerala today said the Communist Party of India (Marxist) was adopting a ''soft Hindutva'' policy eyeing the coming local body polls in the state. Speaking to mediapersons here, PFI State President Nasaruddin Elamaram said the party was prompted to change its ideology for its survival in the State in the wake of losing support of the Minorities.

It was also afraid of an electoral debacle as the party led-Left Democatic Front Government in the state was a ''total failure'' during the over four-and-a-half years in office, he alleged.
