K'taka to wait till August 15 to arrest Madhani
The Karnataka police will wait till August 15 to arrest PDP chairman Abdul Naser Madani named as an accused in the Bangalore blasts case and if the arrest is delayed further it would ask Kerala to expedite the process. The decision was taken at a meeting of higher police officers of Karnataka called by the DGP in Bangalore. They discussed the information given by the Karnataka police team camping in Kollam. The Bangalore city police team, led by circle inspector Sidhappa, informed that though Kollam SP Har****ha Athallari offered help to arrest him, they wanted more time in the wake of President's visit and Independence day celebrations.
H1N1 nodal officer Dr Aman informed that Madani is not affected with H1N1. Due to suspicion his throat swab was sent to the Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology on Wednesday night and the report turned negative.
