Thiruvananthapuram: A photo exhibition and documentary festival, organised as part of the diamond jubilee of the Election
Commission, was inaugurated by Chief Election Commissioner S Y Quraishi here today. The exhibition and the documentary festival, being held at the Museum Auditorium here, would be on till August 19.
Quraishi, accompanied by Election Commissioner V S Sampath, lit the traditional lamp to mark the inauguration of the exhibition.
State Chief Electoral Officer Nalini Netto was also present.
The exhibition depicts historic moments in the election process of India in the last 60 years. Photographs include that of polling
stations in Kargil and other remote areas. Photos of eminent political personalities casting their votes in different elections are also exhibited. PTI
