Nedumbassery : The passengers bound for Chennai from Bangalore got irritated when Flight IC 519 was cancelled reportedly due to technical snag this afternoon.
About 141 passengers had got their boarding passes and their luggage was loaded on the flight which was scheduled to leave Kochi Airport at 1415 hrs when the Airline officials informed the passengers that the flight would be leaving only at 1600 hrs and later extended it to 1700 hrs.
However, the flight was later canceled and the luggages were off loaded.
The passengers turned angry and demanded refund of money. Some of the passengers got their ticket fare back. Some resorted to protest as the airline officials failed to inform the time of departure or about the alternative arrangements for the passengers, Airport Sources said. The airline officials offered to arrange alternative flight to Chennai/Bangalore tonight.
Airlines officials said the pilot was ''stressed and suffered from fatigue'' leading to the cancellation of the flight.
