Govt will think of increasing tax on lotteries: Isaac

Palakkad : Welcoming the Keral High Court decision on lotteries of other states functioning in the state, Kerala Finance Minister Thomas Issac today said the government would think of increasing tax on lotteries. Talking to reporters here, he said the next Cabinet meeting would discuss increasing the tax of lotteries functioning in the state.

Mr Issac said the government would take all steps as per the High Court order regarding the lotteries of other states in the state. The Kerala High Court today asked the state to collect tax in advance from lotteries of other states functioning in the state
