Pillai says Maoists in some areas of Wayanad

Kollam: Union Home Secretary G K Pillai today disclosed that the Centre had received intelligence report about the Maoists concentrating their activities at Wayanad in Kerala. He said this while talking to reporters after visiting Neendakara Coastal Police Station here.

Stating the police was taking all steps to check their activities in Kerala, Mr Pillai said ''though there was no threat at present, we have to be alert''.

The Home Secretary also said the Centre would continue its action against the Maoists in Bihar.
