Leather goods shop gutted in fire

Thrissur: Fire engulfed the third floor of a leather goods shop in the heart of the city, this morning. Seven fire tenders took over an hour to put out the blaze, fire force department sources said.

Goods worth Rs 18 lakh worth had been stocked in the the three storeyed shop. The blaze was brought under control before it could spread to the other two floors.

The cause of the fire was not yet known. None was hurt in the mishap. Pti
