    CSL delivers platform supply vessel to Vroon

    Kochi : Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) today delivered a Platform Supply Vessel 'Vos Prevail' to Vroon Offshore B V of Netherlands. This is the fourth platform supply vessel being delivered to Vroon Offshore Division this year and the 20th platform supply vessel built and delivered by CSL.

    The protocol documents of the ship were signed by Mr Jose Mathew, Chief General Manager (Shipbuilding) on behalf of Cochin Shipyard and Mr Eric Rikken on behalf of the owners.

    The yard is presently constructing 10 Offshore Support Vessels besides construction of the prestigious Indigenous Aircraft Carrier Project for the Indian Navy.

    Vroon Offshore Services (VOS) is a leading maritime offshore services supplier and is active in a number of specialised and commodity-type shipping segments.

    These platform supply ships were of the popular UT 755 LN design for the offshore industry, according to an official release here today.

    The vessel is designed for satisfying the specific demands of transport of deck cargo, pipes, liquid cargo, cement/ barite and unloading to rigs and production platforms and pipe laying barges.
