Kozhikode : The United Democratic Front (UDF) in Kerala continued their efforts to woo rebel CPI(M) Legislator Manhhalamkuzhi Ali to its fold with one more constituent welcoming him to the Opposition outfit today.
Talking at a Meet-the-Leader Programme organised by the Calicut Press Club here, Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) general secretary P K Kunhalikutty said, the CPI(M) Independent MLA from Mankada in Malappuram district was welcomed to join any of UDF partners as per his choice.
Mr Kunhalikutty, who earlier appealed him to join his party, said, ''Let him decide on his future course of action and party.'' Earlier, Opposition leader in State Assembly Ommen Chandy and Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee chief Ramesh Chennithala also welcomed Mr Ali, who decided to quit after being 'sidelined' by the CPM, to the UDF.
