Thiruvananthapuram : Kerala Forest Minister Binoy Viswam today said government would take stern action against those who got appointment in government service by producing fake Joining Order and Advice Memo of the Kerala Public Service Commission (PSC).
Talking to newspersons here, the Minister said the government had pledged to bring the culprits to the book.
Earlier, it was found that about eight people, hailing from Kollam, Thiruvananthapuram and Malappuram districts, entered the Revenue Department service as Village Assistants and LD Clerks by producing fake Joining Order and Advice Memo of the PSC.
Earlier, State Revenue Minister K P Rajendran has ordered an inquiry into the incident and the Chief Minister also asked the department to submit all the details in this regard.
A probe has been ordered to find whether there was any fraud in the appointments in Revenue Department since 2005.
The scam came to light following a complaint to the Revenue Vigilance by a group of PSC candidates from Kollam alleging that many people, even those who did not appear for the PSC exam, had secured jobs.
