Thiruvananthapuram : Rail traffic in the Nagercoil-Thiruvananthapuram section was completely blocked since last night due to fresh landslide caused by heavy rains.
A railway release here today said a retaining wall in the Kuzhithura-Erannial station collapsed causing total disruption of rail service in the section. Train No 6317 Kanniyakumari-Jammu Tawi Himasagar Express of today would leave from Thiruvananthapuram to the regular timings and the service between Kanniyakumari and Thiruvananthapuram was cancelled.
Train No 728 Kollam-Madurai Passenger at Kuzhithura would return as Train No 727 Madurai-Kollam Passenger and would pick up the regular timings.
Train No 727 Madurai-Kollam Passenger would be terminated at Nagercoil and would return as Train No 728 Kollam-Madurai Passenger at 0500 hrs.
Train No 6127 Cehnnai Egmore-Guruvayoor Express would be terminated at Nagercoil and would return as Train No 6128 Guruvayur-Chennai Egmore Express to the regular timings.
Train No 6381/6382 Kanniyakumari-Mumbai-Kanniyakumari Expresses were partially cancelled between Kanniyakumari and Thiruvananthapuram. Train No 6382 Kanniyakumari-Mumbai Express was rescheduled to leave from Thiruvananthapuram at 1630 hrs today.
Train No 6526/6525 Kanniyakumari-Bangalore-Kanniyakumari expresses were partially cancelled between Kanniyakumari and Thiruvananthapuram. Train NO 6525 Kanniyakumari-Bangalore Express was rescheduled to leave from Thiruvananthapuram at 2000 hrs.
Train No 6723/6724 Chennai Egmore-Thiruvananthapuram-Chennai Egmore expresses were partially cancelled between Nagercoil and Thiruvananthapuram.
