Sibi Mathews wants to be relieved of intelligence head post

Thiruvananthapuram: DGP Sibi Mathews has forwarded a letter to the home department requesting to shift him as intelligence head. He sought this as he had been given additional charge like the commandant general of fireforce department and the investigation charge of the lottery scam. When he was given promotion as DGP from ADGP and made the commandant general of fireforce, he had then wanted to change him from the post as both intelligence and fireforce department are responsible ones and he claimed that he would not be able to manage both the same time. Four more IGs would be given promotion as ADGP after the screening committee meeting in January. IPS office reform 1986 batch A Hemachandran, N Shankar Reddy, Rajesh Divan and B S Muhammad Yasin would be promoted. The government is also planning to appoint one among the four as the intelligence ADGP.
