Sabarimala: An attempt was made to kidnap a kid from Sannidhanam amidst the heavy rush of pilgrims. A three-member gang tried to kidnap a four-year old kid Aromal, son of Prasad, from Cherthala. The kid was accompanied by his grandmother Sumathi and relative Prakash. 
The group which reached near Marakootam were travelling through the barricades when the three-member gang rushed towards them from behind and snatched the kid and ran away. When they created an uproar, police immediately passed on the message everywhere.
After 10 minutes the kid was found abandoned on way to Sannidhanam. The police officers who were patrolling the area brought him to Sannidhanam police station. The three people who had come in a pilgrim's attire tried to kidnap the kid. Prakash said he can identify them. Police have begun a probe.
