    Kerala priest killed in mishap

    Dharmapuri: A priest was killed and two people injured when the car in which they were travelling to Bangalore from Kerala hit a lorry carrying steel rods early this morning about five kms near here. Police said Father Kurien (65),a priest from Bennkatur Village near Muvathupuzha in Kerala, was in the car along with Genny Rose (35) and Gerald (39) driving the vehicle.

    The mishap occurred when the driver tried to overtake the lorry.

    The steel rods projecting outside from the lorry pierced the priest to death.

    Genny Rose and Gerald were admitted to the government hospital here with serious injuries.
