Kottayam: Relatives of a Keralite, who was abducted along with 21 sailors by suspected Somali pirates have contacted defence minister A K Antony who ordered navy to locate the place where the Italian flagged oil tanker anchored.
Pirates yesterday abducted 22 crew members including 17 indians and five italians after taking over the tanker,

Out of the Indians, two are Keralites, Hari C Nair of Chunkom here and another native of Kozhikode, relatives of
Nair told PTI today.
Nair, a marine engineer, was working for the last five years with the British company V Ships which owned the oil
tanker. He contacted his parents yesterday morning and informed that he will be reaching to home town by month-end.
The tanker was abducted on its way from Sudan via Malaysia to Singapore and expected to reach Singapore on February 14.
The company's office in Mumbai informed the relatives yesterday evening. PTI
