Kozhikode : The Kerala Private Bus Operators Federation (KPBOF) today decided to stay away from the proposed indefinite bus stir called by the 'Coordination Committee' in the state on February 17.
Talking to newspersons here, KPBOF President A K Abdulla said the decision was taken as they found that the stir was 'injustifiable and inappropriate' in the wake of formation of a committee by the Government to study the demands.
He said the federation also regretted announcement of the agitation by the 'Coordination Committee' without getting the consent of all concerned.
The Kerala State Limitted Stop Bus Operators Association and Kerala Bus Transport Association have also conveyed their decision to stay away from the agitation, he added.
