President Pratibha Patil has ordered the transfer of Justice F.M. Ibrahim Kalifulla of the Madras High Court as a Judge of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court. He has been asked to assume charge of the new office on or before March 5.
Justice Kalifulla is expected to take over as Chief Justice of the J&K High Court after the present incumbent Justice Aftab Hussain Saikia retires on April 6.
