The former Prime Minister, H.D. Deve Gowda, who was re-elected president of the Janata Dal (Secular) at the party's plenary in Bangalore last month, has announced new office-bearers.
Dr. Bapu Kaldate has been reappointed vice-president. The former Union Minister, Basavaraj Patil Anvari, and the former Kerala Minister, Professor N.M. Joseph are the other vice-presidents.
Kunwar Danish Ali will remain secretary-general. C. Balaraman and Kuldeep Singh Rana will continue as general secretaries, and will be joined by the former Bihar MLA, Ram Sundar Ram Kanaujia, and Karnataka leader Sheela Naik. David Simeon and Devendra Nath Ambedkar are the new secretaries.
