Kozhikode: Fans of Malayalam cinema went in a tizzy when they saw stars, most of whom they had seen only on silver screens, perform live at the corporation stadium on Thursday. 'Soorya Thejassode Amma,' a programme of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA), was meant to raise funds for indigent film artistes. The programme was jointly organized by AMMA and Soorya Television. Stars from superstars to villains performed with variety of programmers. The programme began with the dance by Vineeth, Vineeth Kumar and Indrajith. 
Then Mukesh, Jagatheesh, Siddhiq and Asokan came in their `In Harihar Nagar' style. Young stars like Muktha, Padmapriya, Reema, Jayasurya and Manikuttan set the stage on fire with their dance numbers. Sooraj Venjramoodu was in his regular charm and wit and then Mamtha and Prithviraj enthralled the audience with their foot tapping numbers.
Dileep, Kavya, Meera Nandan Jyothirmayi enthralled with their feat of dance and music. Mohanlal sang a song. Mammooty came in double role in his `Rajamanikyam' attire. 88 stars from AMMA came on to the stage for the programme which lasted for nearly 4 and half hours.
