Saree distribution: Collector submits report
Palakkad: Following the distribution of sarees by a BJP candidate at Kodunthirapulli on Saturday and in Kannadi on Sunday by the SNDP, the district collector has submitted the report as sought by the chief electoral officer. In his report, the collector stated that Udayabhaskar had been a candidate for MP election in Palakkad. The Collector also stated that he stands to win a chance this time. The saree distribution in Kannadi on Sunday morning created minor scuffles. Distribution of sarees took place under the Kannadi SNDP Youth Movement. The CPM activists who reached the place knowing about the distribution created tension by throwing away the sarees. More than 100 women reached the place to receive sarees.
