Kottayam: The central Government on Wednesday issued a notification to restructure the Rubber Board. Prof PJ Kurian would be the representative from Rajya Sabha and Nalinkumar Kattil and Jose K Mani would be the representatives from Lok Sabha.
Director (plantation) and under secretary (plantation) would be a representative of the central commerce department and additional secretaries of agriculture and co-operation would be representatives of respective departments in the board.The representatives of Kerala government would be additional chief secretary and agricultural production commissioner. Apart from this, as representatives of large scale plantation owners, two from Kerala and one from Tamil Nadu would be in the board. As representatives of small-scale farmers, four from Kerala and one each from Karnataka and Tripura would be in the board.
