LDF govt has not taken action against lottery mafia:Ramesh

Kochi : Alleging that the LDF government has miserably failed to take any action against the lottery mafia, KPCC President Ramesh Chennithala today said if the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) is voted to power, their first priority will be ordering a CBI probe into the controversal lottery scam in the state. Participating in a meet-the-press programme of the press club here, he said the state had never witnessed such a huge scam in the history of Kerala and the UDF's first priority would be to order a CBI probe into it.

Pointing out that the LDF government did not take a single case against those involved in the scam, he said both the LDF and the CPI(M) were afraid of Santiago Martin and that was why they were hesitating to point a finger against him.

Alleging that the LDF government had indulged in back door appointments while lakh of youths were waiting for a job, he said the UDF would review all these backdoor appointments and would initiative appropriation action against those who involved in it.

Expressing the confidence that the UDF would win not less than 100 seats in the election, he said the election would be an verdict against the LDF government's five year anti-people policies.
