In the State-level public hearing conducted at the police headquarters on Tuesday, DGP SK Rout along with Addl DG SCRB BM Kumar, IG KL Meena and IG Aruna Rao were on hand to resolve complaints. A total of 43 complaints were taken notice of by the senior police officers.
A group of unemployed youth from Sagar complained against a prestigious technical institute in Bhopal. The youth in their complaint said the promises made for guaranteed employment turned out to be false. DGP SK Rout then called Bhopal SSP Adarsh Katiyar, instructing him to seize the institute’s property and freeze the bank accounts of the institute.
In another complaint, Bhagvanti Parmar from Ujjain said that her husband Kamlesh Parmar must be stopped from marrying another woman. Bhagvanti informed the police officers that the she was living separately from her husband and the court had ordered her husband topay Rs 2500 per month as maintenance for her and their child, which Kamlesh was defaulting upon for months.
The DGP giving relief to the harassed woman, called the SP Ujjain and informed him to stop the wedding and investigate the matter.
Another woman, Manisha Sahu from Bhopal complained about the threat to her life from her husband and sought protection for herself along with her son. The DGP then ordered the Mahila police station to register a complaint and take action against Manisha’s husband.
Chandiram Chouhan, resident of Indore complained that due an argument with his neighbours, his daughter committed suicide. The senior police officials then contacted the SP Indore and sought a report after investigation of the complaint.
