A businessman was relieved of Rs 30,000 cash near Nadra bus stand under Hanumanganj police station area on Monday afternoon.
According to the police, the victim Manish Panjwar (36) owns a perfume shop near Laxmi Talkies. At the time of the incident, he was going to deposit cash in the Punjab National Bank branch on Hamidia road.
When he lost balance on his bike due to traffic jam in the area, two motorcycle-borne youths snatched the handbag containing cash and fled the scene. The police registered a case under section 392 of the IPC and started investigation.
