A provision of `210 crore has been made for construction of stop-dams and setting up of pumps in Bundelkhand area under Special Bundelkhand Package by the Rural Development Department. Out of these, the administration has received `84.15 crore for stop-dams and `68.62 crore for setting up of pumps.
For construction of stop-dams, `30.17 crore has been allocated to Sagar district, ` 18.55 crore to Damoh district, `24.27 crore to Chhatarpur district, `20.88 crore to Tikamgarh district, `15.78 crore to Panna district, and `10.35 crore to Datia district while for setting of pumps Rs 11.34 crore has been allocated to Sagar district, `15.25 crore to Damoh district, Rs 24.56 crore to Chhatarpur district, `17.41 crore to Tikamgarh district, `16.83 crore to Panna district and Rs 4.62 crore to Datia district.
Similarly, 12 thousand 47 pump sets have been provided to dig wells under Kapildhara Yojana in Bundelkhand area under Special Bundelkhand Package. Out of the sanctioned 6300 wells in Sagar district, 2,192 well have been completed while 4108 are under construction while pump sets have been provided for 1,874 wells.
Out of 10,165 sanctioned wells in Damoh district, construction of 4,296 wells has been completed and 2920 are under construction while 1,867 pump sets have been provided.
For Chhatarpur district, 12,275 wells were sanctioned out of which 6,824 wells have been completed while construction of 5,041 well is going on and 3,038 pump sets have been provided. Out of 6699 sanctioned wells in Tikamgarh district, 4,221 wells have been completed and 2,578 are under construction while 2,586 pump sets have been provided.
In Panna district, 4,476 out of sanctioned 6,391 wells have been completed and 1,381 are under construction while 2,525 pump sets have been provided. For Datia district, 931 wells were sanctioned out of which 245 wells have been completed and 553 are under construction while 157 pump sets have been provided.
