    Cisco Launches Linksys E-Series Wireless-N Router worth 9K in India

    n order to cater to the growing demand of a fast-paced internet router, Telecom networking equipment maker Cisco presented its unique Linkys E-series dual-band wireless-N router in India.

    Apparently, Cisco had acknowledged a significant shift in the consumer perception regarding the use of internet from a knowledge-based to entertainment-based source.

    Consequently, the team of Cisco Consumer design in Denmark and California jointly crafted the router with 3 x 3 antenna technology which can offer a speed of at least 450Mbps on the 5GHz radio band.

    Responding to the news, Suresh Balasubramanian, National Sales Director, India at Cisco Consumer, claimed, said “There is a visible shift in consumer's internet usage pattern, which is focused more on entertainment needs. We have recognized this trend and the launch of Linksys E4200 router is a testimony to that".

    Moreover, the makers confirmed that the new router has a USB port and has the capacity to offer up to 300 Mbps (2.4) and up to 450 Mbps (5.0 GHz) has a dual band (2.4 and 5.0 GHz), 4 Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, 1 Gigabit Ethernet WAN port, six antennas, WPA and WPA2 and SPI Firewall. As per company sources, consumers can purchase Linkys E4200 at a price of Rs 9,000 at 2000 retail stores of Cisco in India.
