Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) is all set to welcome lakh of pilgrims to ensure smooth conduct of the annual Amarnath pilgrimage this year.
To begin with the shrine board authorities are going to start the registration process of the yatris from May 10 throughout the country across 149 counters of different bank branches.
A separate facility for online registration of the yatra has been extended this year for the benefit of the pilgrims as well.
Chief Executive Officer of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB), RK Goyal on Tuesday said the registration of the Yatris will commence from May 10 across Registration Counters established in 121 designated Branches of the J&K Bank, 24 Branches of the YES Bank and four District Cooperative Banks spread across the country.
The CEO stated that the interested Yatris can reserve their heli-seats through the web based On-line Reservation System, by logging on to the Shrine Board’s website, from 10th May 2011 onwards.
The Board had earlier announced the schedule of the yatra along both the Baltal and the Chandanwari routes, on June 29 and culminate on Raksha Bandhan, August 13, 2011.
