Kalpetta: Black money worth Rs 40 lakh was seized from 4 persons in Wayanad on Wednesday. The money was seized at the Kalpetta bus stand from a KSRTC bus going from Mysore to Kozhikode and from another KSRTC bus coming to Kozhikode from Bangalore at Muthanga. The first incident relates to seizure of Rs 15 lakh from Muhammed, belonging to Koduvally, when he was travelling in a KSRTC bus from Mysore to Kozhikode in the early hours on Wednesday.
Later, in another incident, at around 5 in the morning, Rs 21,60,000 was seized from Muhammed Yunus, belonging to Kuttipuram, and Shuhaib from Wayanad, who were travelling in the KSRTC bus. Jaffer from Kozhikode, who was also travelling in the same bus, was held with Rs 2,50,000 in cash.
