On account of years of old enmity, two groups fired shots at each other killing three persons, including a leader of BJP Gajendra Singh. He has been the vice-president of Bhind unit of BJP. Presently he was a representative of a Member of Parliament.
Following the incident, there is a great tension in village Kumharaua under rural police station. The entire village has been converted into police camp, but the police could not take the body for post-mortem in the phase of intense opposition of villagers.
According to information, Vrijendra Singh had old enmity with Gaddu resident of the same village. The brother and uncle of Virjendra Singh had already been murdered. Virjendra Singh was going on his motorcycle with his wife and child on Sunday morning and at the same somebody threw chili powder in his eyes. This led to immediate firing at him and killing him on the spot.
As soon as the family members of Singh received the information they also came on the road with weapons and both the group started firing at each other in which two persons; a woman Kshamata Bhadauriya and old man Bhiya died.
Kshamata is sister-in-law of Guddu. The old man is also stated to be a member of Guddu’s family. Four other persons were also injured in the firing incident. The condition of two of them, Sagar and Sarvesh Devi, stated to be critical. More than 400 police jawans and officers were camping in the village. On the other hand, the villagers also sitting with their weapons prevented the police from lifting the bodies. Due to adamancy of villagers, no FIR could be registered in police station till last report came in.
