The soul of India lies in the realisation of the ideals set forth in the Constitution of the country, said BJP MP and State BJP president Prabhat Jha. He was speaking at the three-day training programme organised by party’s Scheduled Castes wing, in Jabalpur on Sunday.
Jha said that not having knowledge of the Constitution in a democracy is a crime. Baba Saheb Ambedkar gave us the Constitution and our duty is to follow it with obedience, he added.
Jha praised the role of Dr Ambedkar in the formulation of the Indian Constitution who gave his all for making the guidelines for the nation in the constitution.
Dr Ambedkar was a proud citizen of the country like us, said Jha, who was not from a very affluent economic background, but his thought and vision is something which has been an inspiration for generations.
Jha said the real tribute to Dr Ambedkar would be to strive and work for the poor and deprived people of the country. Adding we are in politics to serve the nation and its people and who ever has joined politics without this feeling should discontinue from it. Satisfaction is politics can only be attained by serving the people not he other way around, said Jha.
Praising the policies of the State government Jha said that the problems of the Dalits been a focus area for the government. Jha praised the positive approach of the Shivraj Singh Chouhan led government. He told the participants to reach out to the people and work for the benefit of the Dalits’ in the State.
BJP National General Secretary Thawarchand Gehlot said that BJP workers should strive for the Scheduled Casts people and the constitution is a model for it.
Gehlot said that thee BJP Scheduled Cast wing which has started from Mhow has now spread all over country, working for the upliftment of the people.
