13 year old held for death of girl child

Kumali: Police on Sunday held a 13 years old boy of in connection with the death of a four-and-half-year-old girl who was found dumped in a tree hole of the cardamom plantation in Anavilasam on Wednesday. The postmortem reports stated that the girl was sexually molested and later killed. The incident occurred at Sasthanada Mepara in Kumali. Police booked an eighth-standard student from Meppra who is residing near the house of Sreeja. His four-member group first informed about the dead body. Police said complete picture of the incident would come out only after questioning. Sreeja, daughter of Sasi Kumar and Malathi, who are workers at the cardomom plantation, was found in the tree hole of the same plantations and Sreeja was left alone in her home by her parents who went for work.
