Kochi: The government would hand over the land required for the proposed Metro Rail Project in the business city of Kerala to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, the implementing agency, tomorrow, Ernakulam District Collector P I Sheik Pareeth today said.The district administration had already acquired the land from Kerala State Road Transport Corporation and Greater Cochi Development Authority for the project and the same would be handed over by Hibi Eden, MLA, to the DMRC authorities tomorrow.
The land handing over to the DMRC would be for re-constructing the Ernakulam North Overbridge and constructing a new bridge at Saleem Rajan.
City Police Commissioner Ajith Kumar had already made a detailed study and submitted suggestions to the authorities on how to solve the traffic congestion when the work starts at North.
