Moolamattam mishap: Asst engineer succumbs to injuries
Kochi: Assistant engineer Merin Issac who was badly injured in the Moolamattam powerhouse fire blast succumbed to her injuries on Saturday. Merin Issac (26), hailing from Thodupuzha, who was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Kochi, was reported to be in a serious condition and treated at the Burns ICU. The other sub engineer K S Prabha, who was also injured in the blast, is still under treatment at the Ernakulam Medical Centre Hospital. The Moolamattam accident happened on Monday last when a explosion at the control panel of a generator at Moolamattam power house left two persons injured, besides causing power disruption.
