    Latest News from India - Lottery: Transactions since 2004 to be investigated

    Thiruvannathapuram: The state government has asked the CBI to probe transactions in other state lotteries case since 2004. The notification, to be issued shortly, would include directions in a letter sent by opposition leader V S Achuthanandan on June 21 to CM and a letter written by VD Satheesan MLA on June 23. The notification would also include a petition filed by UDF government in 2004, petitions given by LDF since 2006 to the centre and a letter sent by the then CM VS Achuthanandan.The CM, in a high level meeting with regard to this, has directed to issue notification, including all these matters. Finance minister K M Mani, Advocate general K P Dandapani and other officials attended the discussion.
