Alappuzha Principal Sessions and District Judge P K Baburajan, who was found in an unconcious state in his house, after allegedly attempting suicide, died at the Medical College Hospital here last night. According to police, a native of Anchal in Kollam district, 51-year-old Baburajan was living in a rented house at Alappuzha Thondamkulangara.
Before taking charge at Alappuzha on May 23, he was a special Judge in the sensational Vidura sexual harassement case.
He was on one-month leave following an accident and had joined duty yesterday.
He had to attend a training programme of the High Court Judges and District Judicial officers today.
He is survived by his wife and two sons.
Police have registered a case of unnatural death, the sources added.
