Appan Thacheth passes away
Kochi: Poet and lyricist Appan Thacheth (T Neelakandan), 73 passed away on Saturday at private hospital in Ernakulam. He was ailing with kidney disease from the last two weeks.He was born on 1937 as the son of Achuthanpillai and Nanikutty Amma from Elamkulam, Ernakulam. He began to pen poems while studying at schools. His main writings are Poopalika, Apsarasukal, Udayasthamanangal, Nirangal Nizhalukal etc.He penned songs for 10 films. The hit among his lyrics is the song `Devi Ninchiriyil' from the film Rajankanam.
His wife is Seethadevi. Children Deepak Kumar, Pradeep and Seema.
